BAINBRIDGE — Victor Foster, 94, of Bainbridge, passed away peacefully at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford.
He was born Nov. 7, 1918, son of the late Samuel and Tillie (Sloan) Foster in Monaghan, Newbliss County Ireland.
Victor graduated from Bainbridge High School and served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II.
He married Ruth Palmer on July 28, 1948, in Camillus. She predeceased him on Dec. 27, 1989.
Victor was employed as an inspector at the Amphenol Corp., Sidney when he retired.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Mitch Glover, Sidney; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary and Kathie Foster, Sidney Center and Dale Foster, Bainbridge; 10 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Victor was also predeceased by a brother, Howard Foster; and sister, Meta Foster.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Benjamin Shaw, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge.
