Pauline L. Hadden
STAMFORD — Pauline L. Hadden, 86, of Stamford, formerly of Roxbury, died Saturday, Aug.17, 2013, at Robinson Terrace Residential Care Center, where she lived since September 2007.
Pauline was born April 2, 1927, in Harpersfield, the daughter of William and Mae (Cronk) Vermilyea. She married Donald L. Hadden June 23, 1944, at Roxbury. He died April 12, 2013.
Pauline attended schools in South Kortright and Roxbury. She received her LPN training at the A. O. Fox Memorial Hospital, Oneonta.
After taking nursing classes at SUNY Delhi, Pauline worked for many years at Stamford Hospital and Robinson Terrace.
Pauline was an active member of the Gould Church in Roxbury, where she sang in the church choir and was past president of the Ladies Guild. She also sang with the Catskill Choral Society.
She is survived by a son, Donald L. Hadden Jr.; and granddaughter, Nicole.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Jay Gould Memorial Reformed Church, Roxbury, with the Rev. Richard Dykstra officiating. Committal services will take place in the Roxbury Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Pauline L. Hadden may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Jay Gould Memorial Reformed Church.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
