Elsie Virginia Fuller
ONEONTA — Elsie Virginia Fuller, 93, died peacefully Aug. 21, 2013, at the home she shared with her daughter, Patricia Archambault in Oneonta.
Elsie was born in Brooklyn on Sept. 29, 1919, to Frederick and Elsie (Kritzler) Maass.
She was married to Robert L. Fuller Sr., who predeceased her on April 29, 2009. They lived for most of their married lives in the Sidney, Bainbridge and East Guilford areas.
Elsie retired as the executive secretary from Amphenol (formerly Bendix) in Sidney in l978.
Besides her daughter, Elsie is survived by her son, Robert (Barbara) Fuller Jr (Wellesley, Mass.;) her sister, Carol Bauer (Morganton, N.C.;) and Carol’s three children, grandson, Steve (Barbara) Wickham (Guilderland,) granddaughter, Stacie (Joey) Shepp (Fairfax, Calif.,) and their son, Devin, grandson, Scott (Michelle) Wickham (Phoenix, Ore.,) and their daughter, Lauren; brother-in-law, Raymond (Eleonora) Fuller (Syracuse;) sister-in-law, Pauline Parker (Sebastian, Fla.;) and many nieces and nephews on the Fuller side of the family.
Elsie was able to remain at home for the past three years with the help of the wonderful and caring staff of the Robynwood Licensed Home Care Services Agency, Oneonta and the Catskill Area Hospice & Palliative Care, Oneonta.
The family is particularly grateful to Patty, Michelle, Caitlyn, Bobbi and Jessica from Robynwood as well as Patty, Eileen, Sharon, Concetta and others who came during times of crisis or who filled in from time to time as needed from Hospice.
Special thanks to the social work and pastoral programs from Hospice as well as the volunteers who provided needed respite. Very special thanks to volunteers Gidget Boggs and her owner Tina for recent visits under the pet therapy program through Hospice.
Elsie made a gift of her remains to the Anatomical Gift Program at Albany Medical Center, Albany.
A memorial service will be held at the family’s convenience.
