Craig Scott Meyers
TODDSVILLE — Craig Scott Meyers, 27, of Toddsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born Nov. 30, 1986, in Cooperstown, the son of David G. (Jr.) and Adele Meyers, he graduated from Cooperstown High School in 2005.
He was employed as the Assistant Produce Manager at TOPS in Hartwick Seminary.
He enjoyed building model airplanes and playing the guitar. He derived his greatest joy from his 4-year-old son, Joseph Scott Meyers, with who he spent countless hours. When Joseph smiled and laughed, Craig was always at his happiest.
Craig was loved by virtually everyone who knew him. Because he was full of hope, joy and optimism he could put a smile on your face no matter what kind of day you were having.
He was fundamentally and always, a loving father to Joseph; a much loved son of Adele M. Meyers; a loving brother to Patrick M. Meyers (and Patrick’s fiancee Tammy Jean Wildey); a loving uncle to Evey Rose Meyers; and a best friend of his uncle Bob Daniels. He is also survived by his uncles, Steve and Richard Daniels; his aunt, Shirley Roberts; and his cousins, Cory, Brandon and Koreen. He was greatly loved and will be missed more than anyone can imagine.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at the Tillapaugh Funeral Home, 28 Pioneer St., Cooperstown, with Pastor Jack Klosheim of the Community Bible Chapel in Toddsville officiating. The family will be present from 1 p.m. until the time of the service to receive friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that those who so desire make contributions in Craig’s memory to the Cancer Institute at Bassett Medical Center, 1 Atwell Road, Cooperstown, NY 13326.
Arrangements are under the supervision of Tillapaugh Funeral Service, Cooperstown.
