COLUMBUS, Ohio — Rene “Bud” DeVillers, 70, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Schenevus, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013.
He was born Oct. 29, 1942, in Schenevus, to the late Rene and Eleanor DeVillers. Bud proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He spent his career in telecommunications and was a proud business owner.
Bud was devoted to his family, a true patriot, and had an incredible sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his infant son, Danny.
Bud will be missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol; children, Mary DeVillers, Dawn DeVillers, David (Julia) DeVillers and Rene A. “Buddy” (Laura) DeVillers; grandchildren, Quinn, Jack, Reagan and Madison; brother, Louis (Ann) DeVillers; and sister, Sally (Patrick) Sheehy.
A celebration of his life will be from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at The Athletic Club of Columbus, 136 E. Broad St., Columbus.
