MOUNT UPTON — Frederick A. Frewert, 97, of Mount Upton, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford.
He was born April 27, 1916, son of the late Gustav and Freda Dreek Frewert in Staten Island.
Fred served his country honorably in the United States Army during World War II. He was employed as an engineer for ECD of Bendix in Sidney when he retired and was a life member of the Odd Fellows.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Keach of New Berlin; sons, Frederick Frewert of Bainbridge, Roger Frewert of Guilford, Charles Frewert of Ogden, Utah;
several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and cousins.
He was also predeceased by two brothers, William and Robert Frewert.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney. The Rev. Brandilynne Craver, Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Mount Upton, will officiate.
