Barry G. Aitchison
KINGSTON — Barry G. Aitchison, 65, of Saint James Street, Kingston, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at his home.
Born April 21, 1948, in Minneapolis, Minn., he was the son of the late Burdette and Harriette (Fallstrom) Aitchison.
Barry played the trombone for the Glen Miller Orchestra and toured all over the world during the late 1960s and early 1970s. But was best known in the area for his time working at the Oneonta Elks Club and years with Prudential Insurance.
Barry was loved and adored by all of his family and friends. The love he brought to everyone he came in contact with will always be remembered and treasured. His laugh, smile and comforting way will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his sons, Shawn Aitchison, Clancy Aitchison and his wife, Lisa; a sister, Cargie Aitchison and her husband, Steve of Boise, Idaho; and grandchildren, Autumn and Liam Aitchison.
Cremation arrangements were under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston. Cremation took place at Wiltwyck Crematory.
There will be no services.
