DELHI — Paul Shaw, 87, (Honest Brook, Town of Meredith), died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at home.
Born Sept. 3, 1925, in the Town of Meredith, a son of Parker W. and Mary (Smith) Shaw, he married Mabel O. Frey (1952), who died 1983, and later, Joyce (Brown) Marschilok, Sept. 8, 1989.
A lifelong area resident, Paul operated his dairy farmer on Honest Brook, subsequently working with Countryside Care Center maintenance staff (25 years), retiring 2001.
Paul especially appreciated family activities, was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying his farm and tractor collection.
Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Joyce M. Shaw; two daughters, Paula Shaw and Susan Miller; five stepchildren, Laurie Burns, Freddy (Kathy), Kenny (Stephanie), Doug (Anitra), and Beverly Marschilok (Harry Thayer); a sister, Elizabeth Blanchard; nieces and nephews.
Predeceased were four brothers, Sheldon, Benjamin, Oliver and David Shaw; and sister, Esther Butler.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 15, at Hall & Peet Funeral Home, Delhi.
Funeral services 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Meredith Baptist Church, the Rev. Jeffrey Staples, officiating. Burial following, Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.
