Toby Diane Roe

FLEISCHMANNS — Toby Diane Roe, 67, of Fleischmanns, went to heaven on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at her residence.

She was born on July 31, 1946, in Gallipolis, Ohio, to the late Laverne Morrison, and surviving John Morrison of Wildwood, N.J.

She graduated from Jackson High School in Jackson, Ohio, in 1964.

She was married to Robert C. Roe on May 5, 1973, in Cape Cod, Mass.

Toby started her family in Brewster, Mass., where she and Bob lived for 10 years and had two children. They moved and lived in Toms River, N.J., for 20 years until she and her husband retired to the Catskills in 2004.

By trade, Toby was a legal secretary. However, once her children were old enough, she held multiple clerical jobs at local supermarkets, book stores and legal firms. She also worked as a CNA at a nursing home.

Most recently, she was a volunteer at her church, Catskill Mountain Christian Center’s Community Assistance Program in Margaretville.

Toby was a very loving and devoted wife and mother. She loved people and wanted to see them smile and laugh. She loved Jesus and truly exemplified that through her actions and life as a wife and mother. She always wanted the best for others and would do whatever she could to help, encourage and give wherever needed.

Toby is survived by her husband, Bob, of 41 years; her daughter, Stephanie Roe of Arkville; and son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Kimberly Roe of Highmount.

A viewing will from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.

Funeral service will be held at Catskill Mountain Christian Center at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014.

Burial will take place in the spring at Bedell Cemetery, Fleischmanns.

Donations in memory of Toby may be made to the Catskill Mountain Christian Center.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
