SIDNEY — Louise Theresa Hoegger, 103, of Sidney, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Norwich Rehab and Nursing Center.
Louise was born on Feb. 3, 1909, daughter of the late Louis and Gaetana (Parisi) Marnell in Sidney. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1928.
On April 29, 1933, Louise was married to Alwin T. Hoegger in Sidney. He predeceased her on Sept. 2, 1993.
Louise was the “Oldest Member” of the Sacred Heart Church in Sidney, and a member of its Rosary Society.
Louise is survived by a daughter, Jeanne Hoegger of Andover, Mass.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Louise was predeceased by three brothers, Frank, George and John Marnell;and three sisters, Cora Mazzarella, Josephine Grow and Mary Dilello.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 15 Liberty St., with Fr. Gordon Polenz as celebrant. Committal will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Sacred Heart Church.
