BRADENTON, Fla. — James John McNulty Sr. went to the Lord on June 10, 2013.
Born June 14, 1928, the only child of the late James and Marion McNulty of Schenectady, Jim served in the U.S. Air Force from 1946 to 1948, and the U.S. Army as a sergeant in the Korean War, September 1950 to July 1952. He earned a letter of commendation for heroic action in Korea.
Married in 1950, to Mary Ann Knapp of Oneonta, he served on the Charlotte Valley Central School Board and worked as a salesman for Lorillard Company, living in the Oneonta area until 1973. He then transferred to Sarasota and retired in 1993.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann; daughter, Bonnie S. Mitchell (Mike); sons, Mark McNulty (Nancy) and Tom McNulty; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his oldest son, James Jr. (2011).
Funeral services, June 12, (Wednesday), at Bible Baptist Church, Bradenton.
