ONEONTA — Justine A. Sperbeck, 21, of Oneonta, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at the A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 31, 1992, in Cobleskill, the daughter of Michael W. and Claire (Daoust) Sperbeck.

Justine currently worked as a hostess at the Neptune Diner in Oneonta.

Justine graduated in 2010 from Cobleskill-Richmondville High School where she played softball. She then attended SUNY Cobleskill, majoring in psychology.

Justine loved going on vacation trips, and was very fond of Old Forge.

She was devoted to her family, friends, and her cat, Poppy, and most of all her fiance, Francisco Arias.

She is survived by her mother, Claire Sperbeck of Oneonta; her sisters and a brother, Michelle (John) Dobesh of Oneonta, Tracy (David) Babcock of Summit, Stacy (John) Mabie of South Valley, Melissa Conrad-Holm of East Worcester, Jennifer (Jason) Knapp of Oneonta, Matthew (Brittani) Brown of Johnstown, and Bethany Sperbeck and her boyfriend, Kevin McGrath of Schoharie; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father, Michael Sperbeck; and her grandparents, Freddie and Justine Sperbeck

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand St., Oneonta, with Major James Smith of the Salvation Army, officiating.

Burial will be in the Summit Cemetery, Summit.

Friends may call at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand St., Oneonta, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at which time the family will be in attendance.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
