her father being Theodore Kuhl, and mother Gladys Harrington. She grew up in Sherrill and later in Roxbury.

In 1939, Genevieve married Forrest Archibald. They had children, Anne Marie, Theodore Bruce and Mary Jean and settled in Hobart.

However, in 1944, Forrest was drafted into World War II and died in action in 1945. Genevieve then married Dwight Dibble in 1948. and had another child, Beverly Diane. She raised her family of four children with Dwight until his sudden death in 1967.

In 1979, Genevieve married Daniel Tait. They spent 33 years of retirement in New York, Florida, Tennessee and back to Florida. Dan died in 2012, and Genevieve moved to Lakeland, Fla.

She battled dementia in her last few years, but she was always surrounded by her family, and had excellent care in a facility specializing in her disease. As Genevieve’s health worsened in the past six months, she had further excellent care with

Good Shepherd Hospice of Lakeland, Fla.

Genevieve was predeceased in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Anne Marie and Lloyd Martin; her brother and sisters and spouses, Joe and Belva Kuhl, Doris and Ralph Vaughn and Katherine and Don Averill; her grandson-in-law, Chris Jones; and many of her friends from Hobart.

Genevieve was a wonderful person, loved by all who got to know her. She had some difficult times with losing a father at a very young age, and then three husbands. But, Genevieve never let the past

keep her from making the most of the life dealt her, she always had a smile for everyone, and her caring

heart was widely felt by all her family and many friends.

There will be a memorial service for Genevieve in Lakeland, Fla., on Oct. 25, 2013, and then a

graveside memorial service in the Valley View Cemetery in South Kortright, at a later date.
