WEST ONEONTA — Myrtle Dingman, 89, of West Oneonta, beloved mother and Grammy, passed away surrounded by her family on Sept. 22, 2013.
She was born Jan. 28, 1924, in Walton and married LaVerne Dingman on March 29, 1942. He predeceased her on April 1, 2011. She was a pre-school teacher, homemaker and member of the West Oneonta Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Art Priscott of Delhi and Sherry and Richard Bookhout of Troutman, N.C.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Priscott, Columbus, Ohio, Matthew Priscott (Hilary), Bloomville, Breanne Bookhout (Joe), Greene and Michael Bookhout, Mooresville, N.C.; and special dog, Suzy.
The family will hold a graveside service in Plains Cemetery at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember her may donate to Catskill Area Hospice or Heart of the Catskills Humane Society.
