Clyde F. Harder
WALTON — Clyde Francis Harder, 61, 21-year Walton resident, died unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 31, at home.
Born July 24, 1952, in Delhi, to Maurice and Catherine (Brown) Harder, he grew up in Treadwell-Delhi, graduated Delaware Academy (1971), and married Joanne M. Nault (May 21, 1977).
Clyde was proud of his 21-year U.S. Army service, both overseas and stateside (1971 to 1992), retiring as First Sergeant; subsequently, shipping/receiving clerk, Delhi Central school, retiring 2011.
Memberships: Delhi Memorial VFW Post No. 10550; Walton American Legion Post No. 32; and avid motorcyclist.
Surviving: His wife, Joanne M. Harder; sister, Nancy (Joseph) Hrouda, Hopewell Junction; brother, Alan (Cindy) Harder, Delhi; mother/father-in-law, Nellie and John Nault, Delhi; goddaughter, nieces, nephews, cousins.
Predeceased: brother, William (1983).
Visitation: 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, Hall & Peet Funeral Home, Delhi; funeral services and Military Honors, 3 p.m., the Rev. Martha Vink, officiating.
Burial private: Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin.
