In Your Opinion: Letter wasn't meant to accuse aid workers

This is notice to all who read the letter to the editor in the paper on Friday, Feb. 28, written by Gloria Gregory, my mother, who is 82 years old.

Gloria has no proof of the thefts she claims that have taken place. This article in no way is to be taken as an offense to anyone currently providing care for her and my father. It is in no way to implicate those people or any emergency workers, i.e., ambulance and rescue personnel, who have been in their home many times in the past. She has had things come up missing but, as I stated, there is no proof of theft. She merely meant the article to warn older people to be cautious if they need to get people into their homes to assist them in their daily living.

My apologies to any and all those who may have found the letter offensive and/or accusatory. It was not meant to be so.
