There are hundreds of things you can touch on a daily basis that are more dangerous than a gun.
The gun won your freedom from the tyranny of the British. It regained the Alamo. The gun won freedom for black slaves in the Civil War. The gun protected your freedom from Germany in World War I and World War II. The gun saved Hawaii from the Japanese and the gun kept America’s Pacific shore from attack.
The gun has done more to safeguard your freedom and quality of life than your car, your home, your cellphone. If Cuomo was trying to take away your TV, your computer, your kitchen knife, would you then march on Albany in protest? Undoubtedly you would. But, more people are murdered with knives each year than with guns. Bathrooms, cars and icy sidewalks can kill, too. Peril surrounds you.
The founding fathers were wise indeed to protect your freedom by guaranteeing your right to keep and bear arms, with the Second Amendment and the Constitution. They also stated it will take an informed, armed and diligent citizenry to remain free. Are you smart enough to be free?
Join our freedom march in Albany on April 1, at the Capitol. Buses leave at 8. Call 432-6452 for your seat. Bring a friend. WE NEED YOU!
