The Daily Star
---- — Oneonta Lawyer Andrew Stammel announced his run for election to the Oneonta Town Board on Independent and Democratic lines. I strongly endorse Andrew for the position. In addition to his academic credentials and experience, he has the most essential asset … character. Character is hard to define, but you know it when you see it. It is easy to see it in Andrew.
He grew up in Stamford, was active in his school, church and scouting program. During the summer he worked at Henderson Scout Reservation on Crumhorn Lake. Before law school, he was enrolled in SUNY Delhi’s Environmental Education AmeriCorps program. In everything he did, he applied his full energy. While prepping for the bar exam and awaiting results, Andrew worked for Delaware County Social Services. He worked at a busy law firm in Stamford for several years before founding his own practice in the city of Oneonta in 2011. His unique experiences in environmental education and social services as well as his decades giving back to his community have given him a perspective that will make him an outstanding member of the board.
I encourage you to vote for a man who will help bring good things to Oneonta. I assure you your vote will not be wasted. I know his character well because I’m Andrew’s dad.
