I still can’t believe what The Daily Star had on the front page of this morning’s paper (May 1) about the White House’s concern over inhumane so-called botched job in Oklahoma’s execution of Clayton Hackett. It shouldn’t have even made the classified 6-point section and makes me wonder if some people aren’t crazier than I?
There was nothing, in the article, that I saw, of the crime he was being executed for! No mention of the botched home invasion job Clayton and his two companions were masterminding and his kidnapping, truck-stealing then laughing while killing Stephanie Neiman, and his being involved with the killing of her friend and a 9-month-old child.
It is hard to believe anyone could really feel any remorse for that Clayton Hackett, who I don’t think had a heart to die of later. The White House should worry more about those dying in other lands from botched information coming from it.
In my day, when you killed you were executed; today they give you two life sentences. Is that what they now call criminal management?
