on Main Street
Smoothing the flow of traffic on Main Street:
Do the traffic lights on Main Street at Third Street need to be synchronized with the lights at Walling Avenue?
Several times I have been traveling Main Street and stopped for the red light at Third Street without any traffic coming down the hill.
Suggested solution: Imbed activators in the Third Street pavement.
Schreibman would help president
During the first two years of President Obama’s first term, the President accomplished a lot despite Republican obstructionism. His accomplishments included, e.g., health insurance reform, Wall Street reform, auto industry rescue, improved Pell Grants, a new GI Bill, credit card reform, Lilly Ledbetter Act, expanded children’s health insurance, etc. The United States was on the move and heading in the right direction again, following eight years of disastrous economic, social, and foreign policies.
During the second half of Obama’s first term, continued progress was made impossible by Republican obstructionism because, unlike during the first two years, the Republicans controlled the House in 2011 and 2012. In these past two years, Republicans have blocked nearly every initiative by the president, even initiatives that Republicans had previously supported, for the sole purpose of preventing Obama from achieving anything. The result has been a dysfunctional federal government that derailed the progress we had been making.
If we’re going to re-elect Obama, and, thankfully, it’s looking more and more like we will, then let’s give him what he needs to be successful: a Democratic-controlled House.
There are many good reasons to vote for Julian Schreibman for Congress. He’s a good man with good ideas. Here’s one more: give Obama a chance to get us back on the right track and moving forward again by giving him a Democratic-controlled House.
Vote for Julian Schreibman for Congress.
