Life is too precious to waste on self-pity

As anyone should know, life here on Mother Earth won’t last forever, give or take, in years, months, etc. Like a loaf of bread, a dozen eggs, or carton of milk, we too all have an expiration date on us, with or without all the preservatives in our foods, drink, etc. (minus the bar codes, mind you).

Every day is precious and most valuable, and it’s important for all of us to stay, live and breathe each moment as much and for as long as possible. Self-pity is our worst enemy and if we yield to it, we can never do anything wise in the world.

The best and most beautiful things in the world — through our everyday life with people we meet along the way, be it family, friend, a neighbor and, yes, a stranger or homeless person, too — cannot be seen by the “blind,” heard by the “deaf,” or touched. They must be felt with the beating human heart, physically and spiritually.

The world is ours for a little while. Live it and love it now … faith, hope and love, these three, with the greatest being love.
