President Obama is a master at projecting his own failings onto his opponents. Throughout his campaign Barack Obama screams to cheering crowds that “top down economics (as projected to Mr. Romney) doesn’t work.” He routinely uses phrases like “the country doesn’t succeed when only the folks at the top do well. We succeed when the middle class does well.”
An empty, meaningless platitude. He suggests that Mitt Romney is concerned only for the already rich. Nice try, but completely false.
Under more than three years of Barack Obama’s presidency, have the lives of the middle class improved? No. Is the middle class more sure of a bright future? No. So, it is Barack Obama’s own failure to improve the lives of the middle class that he is really running against but skillfully projects to others.
Barack Obama is right about “top down economics.” It doesn’t work.
But Barack Obama and other leftists in his government truly believe in their own version of “top down economics.” They will be the “SUPER CEO” in Washington. They believe in the ultimate power of government to create the perfect economic and civil society. A nice, compassionate, feel-good wish, but in the real world it produces just the opposite.
The working masses will be equal but equally miserable, poor and oppressed by the very “top down” power and control that is the true core belief of this president. He does not love individual liberty. Has it been working for you lately?
