In Your Opinion: Urge senators to restore EPA rules
Summer is here and many of us will be heading out to a nearby lake or stream to spend time with our families fishing, kayaking, camping or boating.

In Our Opinion: Don't risk leaving kids in the car
The scenario is an easy one to imagine.
In Your Opinion: Court was way off on Hobby Lobby
Diana Ross could have done a better job than the current Supremes. A lot of the court's recent opinions are mostly off track. These people have it easier than meteorologists; the checks keep coming in for life even if they miss the "eye of the storm" over and over again.
In Your Opinion: Sheriff right to enforce pot laws
I read your editorial regarding "Marijuana hunt a waste of time and resources" with dismay and some outrage. Sheriff Devlin's job is to enforce all the laws of New York state and not to ignore laws that your newspaper thinks should be disregarded.

In Our Opinion: Court got it right on home rule
New York state's highest court has ruled that local governments have the right to tell the big drilling companies to leave them alone and mind their own fracking business.
In Your Opinion: Americans aren't united anymore
I am tired of reading and hearing Obama say how HE will handle the immigration of America. In my opinion, it only shows me, he is not American.

In Our Opinion: Cheers and Jeers
Cheers, to a second judge for Delaware County, and a ruling banning unvaccinated children from schools when another student has a vaccine preventable disease; Jeers to the lack of a bed tax in Delaware County.
In Your Opinion: Liberals succeed by offering change
There are a lot of principled conservatives out there, so why have the liberals been so successful?

In Our Opinion: Marijuana hunt a waste of time, resources
The Otsego County Sheriff's Office is in the midst of its annual two-week marijuana eradication campaign.
In Your Opinion: OHS pool funding is worth it
At my OHS Hall of Fame Induction, I had the opportunity to talk to Brian Wright, son of Clyde Wright, benefactor of the pool. I asked him why his father funded the pool, and he replied, "the kids."

In Our Opinion: Hobby Lobby ruling was gross overreach
Cargill. Wal-Mart. Heinz. Dell. Hilton. Bloomberg. Toys-R-Us. And Hobby Lobby.
In Your Opinion: Sugar is sugar; water is better
Summer fun is on the horizon and those perennial Kool-aid ads are starting to appear on TV.

In Our Opinion: Lessons of Civil Rights Act still relevant
We were particularly struck by something in our Weekend story about today's 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
In Your Opinion: Clark Scholarships a proud tradition
This past weekend marked a very big event for families, high school graduation. I have attended many of these ceremonies over the decades and there is something that has been repeated oft times at each of these grand “rites of passage.

In Your Opinion: GOP obstructing nation's recovery
According to the Department of Labor our economy added 217,000 jobs in May, while the unemployment rate held steady at 6.3 percent.

In Our Opinion: Cheers
To efforts to fund a digital projector, free fishing, high SAT scores at local schools and Bassett Healthcare Network’s Cancer Screening Outreach program.
In Your Opinion: Seeking help with missing ring
On the weekend of May 17, 2014, I was in your city to attend the graduation of my granddaughter. During that time, I lost a cameo ring that had great sentimental value to me and to a friend of mine. It was a white cameo on a slate-colored background and was a gold ring and mounting. If anyone found this ring, which I think I might have lost at WalMart, please contact me. I am willing to offer a reward upon seeing that the ring is the one I, in fact, did lose.
In Your Opinion: If Obama's a Democrat, Eldridge is a socialist
In an interview with an editorial board last week, Sean Eldridge admitted he would have voted for Obamacare. Obamacare -- the supposed savior to all Americans who need insurance. Well, things didn't quite pan out that way. At the very beginning it had issues: the website wasn't working and people weren't signing up. Then it RAISED costs and DROPPED people from insurance.

In Our Opinion: Court's ruling on clinic limit is a risk
As stalwart supporters of the First Amendment, we should probably be happy with the Supreme Court's ruling Thursday that struck down a Massachusetts law imposing a 35-foot buffer zone at that state's abortion clinics.
In Your Opinion: Stammel not consistent on positions
Andrew Stammel's June 4 letter makes the assertion that my previous response to him on May 28 is "riddled with logical and factual inaccuracies." He makes this claim but makes no argument supporting it.
