On the Right Side: Obama can offer words, little else

Talk about having a love affair with himself.

President Obama couldn't even wait 11 months to give his first State of the Union-like speech. So to massage his overwhelming ego, he decided to give it last Tuesday.

It was certainly full of rhetoric, with lots of efforts for hopefully historically memorable quotes _ as if enough attempts were made, some would stick. But was there any substance?

Absolutely none.

He is slick, I'll give him that. And he is a skilled orator. Give him a good speechwriter and a Teleprompter and he's ready to go.

A little advice, Barack. It takes more than speech-making and glorious promises to be an effective leader. It takes a person who is willing to roll up his sleeves and help manage the process.

So what does he do? Weeks before his speech, he simply tells Congress (actually only half of Congress) to come up with a stimulus bill that he can sign.

He then ducks out of sight and lets the two most radical, irresponsible members take over the process _ Sen. Harry Reid and Rep. Nancy Pelosi.

The result is the worst possible, pork-filled, non-stimulus bill that could have been created.

This person is going to single-handedly ruin this country, and the press and Obama's cultists are letting it happen.

George Bush's largest deficit, according to the Congressional Budget Office, was $454.8 billion, and that occurred in fiscal year 2008. Obama's antics, to date only, will result in a $1.3 trillion deficit for fiscal year 2009.

Therefore, his promise to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term in office means we will be saddled with more than a $533 billion deficit for fiscal years 2013 and beyond.

Great job, Barack. Your deficit will still be nearly $100 billion larger than Bush's largest deficit in eight years.

The problem is, Obama is lying to us once again. He has very optimistic economic projections and he has only begun to spend! You can expect much, much worse to come.

One positive result of this should be that all those over-the-hill lefty hippie-wannabes might finally have to be quiet about the "obscene" Bush deficits.

This might be too much to hope for. They are still obsessed with their hatred for George Bush and will never change. The sad part is that they will continue to use the same old, unoriginal mantras, even when they have no idea what they are talking about.

There is a slight sliver of hope that this out-of-control leftist liberal can be checked. There is a fiscally conservative coalition of 49 Democrats in the House who claim to be committed to seriously shrinking the federal deficit.

If they are true to their word, Obama's plan for ruining this country can be stopped dead in its tracks. This would make the House count of 178 Republicans and 49 "Blue Dog" Democrats a majority of 227 to 208.

Also, do you think the 66 million Americans who voted for Obama would have still done so had they known what his real agenda was? I'm guessing at least 20 or more million would not have.

Look up the definition of the word "narcissism." It is defined as "excessive self-admiration and self-centeredness. It is a personality disorder characterized by the patient's overestimation of his or her own appearance and abilities and an excessive need for attention and admiration."

You might as well put a picture of Obama there as an example. A conservative friend recently sent me an article by a Sam Vaknin, PhD., who has written many articles about narcissism and is the author of the book "Malignant Self Love."

The article is lengthy but very well-supported. To summarize, he says, "Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist." Send me an e-mail and I can forward it to you.

Lastly, another friend sent me a video clip of a news report done by a very reputable television station that lays out the historical timeline. It shows who is responsible for the present mess we are in and those who repeatedly tried to warn Congress about it as far back as 2002.

If anyone wants me to forward a copy, again, just send me a quick e-mail and I will attach it and zip it right back.

I know how you lefty libs don't like to be frustrated with facts, but I'll send you a copy, too, for as long as it stays online.

It looks like Barack is going to give me plenty to write about, for much longer than I had anticipated. I know that has some of you jumping for joy and others looking for the nearest cliff to jump from.

Sorry about that.
