CHENANGO COUNTY

Menus

Monday: Creamed chipped beef, mashed potato, California blend vegetables, oatmeal bread and fresh fruit.

Tuesday: Sausage, peppers and onions, Southwestern blend vegetables, macaroni salad, hot dog roll and birthday cake.

Wednesday: Macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, Italian blend vegetables, whole wheat bread and birthday cake.

Thursday: Meatball sub, baked beans, purple cabbage salad, hot dog roll and whipped delight.

Friday: Lemon baked fish, mashed sweet potato, peas, tossed salad, seedless rye bread and chocolate chip cookie.

Call by 10 a.m. on the serving day for reservations. Hours are weekdays 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Menus

Monday: Spanish baked steak, boiled parslied potato, mixed vegetables, garden salad, cran-orange juice and tapioca pudding.

Tuesday: Tuna salad on lettuce bed, tri-colored pasta salad, three-bean salad, apple-grape juice, dinner roll and watermelon.

Wednesday: Cranberry chicken patty, oven roasted potatoes, broccoli crowns, whole wheat bread and fruited Jell-O.

Thursday: Ham steak and raisin sauce, scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, pineapple juice and lemon pudding with oranges.

Friday: Stuffed shells, string beans, mixed greens, salad, dinner roll and warm apple crisp.

  • April activities abound at Thanksgiving Home There were many April fool jokes played here at Clara Welch Thanksgiving Home on April 1. Some of us found our door name plates turned upside down or swapped with one from another door and furniture and objects were mysteriously moved around in our rooms. The dining room was completely transformed from its usual formal setting into a hodpodge of mismatched china and … horrors, plastic tablecloths and paper napkins. Each table was decorated with a different theme, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Easter. Christmas carols played in the background. We suspect that Dee Bouck, of Personal Care and John Santello, Activities Director, were mainly responsible for this mayhem.
