CHENANGO COUNTY

Menus

Monday: Stuffed pepper, tater tots, Southwestern blend vegetables, whole wheat bread and fresh fruit.

Tuesday: Sage stuffed breaded chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, peas, multi-grain bread and whipped delight.

Wednesday: Barbecued pork, garlic red skinned mashed potatoes, California blend vegetables, hamburger roll and chef’s mixed fruit.

Thursday: Stuffed shells with meat sauce, California gold blend vegetables, tossed salad, warmed garlic bread and blueberry pie with topping. Evening meal at McDonough.

Friday: Breaded fish sandwich with tartar sauce, sweet potato puffs, three-bean salad, hamburger roll and fresh orange.

Call by 10 a.m. on the serving day for reservations. Hours are weekdays 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Monday: Hamburger stroganoff, egg noodles, golden glow salad, whole wheat bread and oatmeal raisin cookies.

Tuesday: Caribbean pork rib, sweet potatoes, seasoned spinach, tossed salad, whole wheat bread, fruited Jell-O.

Wednesday: California baked chicken, roasted potatoes, peas and carrots, snow on the mountain, whole wheat bread, chocolate pudding.

Thursday: Baked tavern ham, Parmesan bow ties, Butternut squash, applesauce, whole wheat bread, sherbert.

Friday: Potato encrusted Pollock, parslied potatoes, Harvard beets, coleslaw, whole wheat bread, rice pudding.

  • April activities abound at Thanksgiving Home There were many April fool jokes played here at Clara Welch Thanksgiving Home on April 1. Some of us found our door name plates turned upside down or swapped with one from another door and furniture and objects were mysteriously moved around in our rooms. The dining room was completely transformed from its usual formal setting into a hodpodge of mismatched china and … horrors, plastic tablecloths and paper napkins. Each table was decorated with a different theme, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Easter. Christmas carols played in the background. We suspect that Dee Bouck, of Personal Care and John Santello, Activities Director, were mainly responsible for this mayhem.
