Menus

Monday: Meatball Parmesan sub, tossed salad and oatmeal raisin cookie.

Tuesday: Hot dog on bun, molasses baked beans, tomato/onion/cucumber salad and mandarin oranges.

Wednesday: Tuna salad sandwich, three-bean salad, coleslaw, whole wheat bread and tapioca pudding.

Thursday: Chicken riggies, tossed salad, juice, multi-grain bread and bread pudding with raisins.

Friday: Meatloaf with gravy, red skinned mashed potatoes, zucchini and yellow squash, fresh fruit in season and rye bread.

Call by 10 a.m. on the serving day for reservations. Hours are weekdays 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Monday: Chicken Parmigiana, buttered noodles, mixed fresh beans, garden salad, garlic bread and tapioca pudding with topping.

Tuesday: Chili con carne, steamed rice, seasoned spinach, carrot and raisin salad, whole wheat bread and cinnamon coffee cake.

Wednesday: Crab topped tilapia, baked potato, orangey beets, apple juice, whole wheat bread and pumpkin mousse.

Thursday: Meatloaf with gravy, dijon roasted potatoes, cucumber salad, stewed tomatoes, whole wheat bread, pears and chocolate chip cookie.

Friday: Roast turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, steamed peas, cranberry sauce, whole wheat bread and Jell-O with topping.

  • April activities abound at Thanksgiving Home There were many April fool jokes played here at Clara Welch Thanksgiving Home on April 1. Some of us found our door name plates turned upside down or swapped with one from another door and furniture and objects were mysteriously moved around in our rooms. The dining room was completely transformed from its usual formal setting into a hodpodge of mismatched china and … horrors, plastic tablecloths and paper napkins. Each table was decorated with a different theme, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Easter. Christmas carols played in the background. We suspect that Dee Bouck, of Personal Care and John Santello, Activities Director, were mainly responsible for this mayhem.
