Senior Menus: Feb. 24-28, 2014

The following are senior-meals menus for the week of Feb. 24 through 28:



Monday: Baked fish Florentine, tartar sauce, harvest vegetable rice, sweet and sour cabbage, chocolate pudding with topping and whole wheat bread.

Tuesday: Chicken a la king over egg noodles, Oregon blend vegetables, side of cranberry sauce, oatmeal raisin cookie and rye bread.

Wednesday: Roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, parsley baby carrots, strawberry applesauce and multi-grain bread.

Thursday: Baked pork chop with Monterey sauce, oven roasted potatoes, Brussels sprouts, lemon delight and dinner roll. 

Friday: Sausage riggies with sauce, garden salad, green and wax beans, Italian bread and ice cream with topping.


Coventry: Windy Hill Senior Center, Coventry Town Hall, state Route 235, Tuesday and Thursday, 656-8602.

Greene: Brightman Senior Center, Birdsall Street, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 656-4789.

McDonough: Genegantslet Activity Center, Methodist Church, two Thursdays per month, 647-5666.

New Berlin: Unadilla Valley Senior Activity Center, First United Methodist Church, 51 South Main Street, Tuesday and Thursday, 847-6350.

Norwich: Westside Park Senior Center, First Baptist Church, West Park Place, weekdays, 334-2910.

Sherburne: The Welcome Center, Grace Manor Center, Knapp Street, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 674-4600.

South Otselic: Plum Valley Forever Young Center, Methodist Church, Church Hill Road, two Fridays per month, (315) 653-4411.


Call by 10 a.m. on the serving day for reservations. Hours are weekdays 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.


Monday: Swedish meatballs, egg noodles, broccoli florets, apple grape juice, whole wheat bread, mandarin oranges and molasses cookie.

Tuesday: Roast pork with gravy, whipped potatoes, sliced carrots, applesauce, whole wheat bread and butterscotch pudding.

Wednesday: Turkey a la king, buttermilk biscuit, succotash, rosey apple salad, whole wheat bread and ice cream with peaches.

Thursday: Homestyle meatloaf, baked potato, seasoned corn, whole wheat bread and brownie.

Friday: Barbecued chicken, Dijon roasted potatoes, California blend vegetables, cranberry sauce, whole wheat bread and cinnamon coffee cake.
