Edward Trowbridge Collins III, 15, and his 10-year-old brother Peter, were brought to Cooperstown as a part of a motor trip which was a birthday present for Peter. Their father, Edward T. Collins II, is a son of baseball's late immortal "Eddie" Collins, great White Sox and Athletics second-sacker, and their mother is the former Miss Jane Pennock, daughter of the late Herbert J. "Herb" Pennock, southpaw pitcher of Athletics, Red Sox and Yankee fame, also immortalized at Cooperstown. The boys are both students at the Kennett Consolidated schools in Kennett Square, Pa. "Eddie" is a first baseman in a Babe Ruth League and Peter is active in Little League circles.
