City Life — After a “relatively quiet” campaign, one astronaut topped a white tornado and became the only one of his crew to make the grade Friday.

No, we’re not talking about the space race.

We’re describing the Oneonta High School Student Council elections Friday.

There were two parties — the Astronauts and the White Tornadoes.

Joseph Costa was elected president. He was the only “Astronaut” to win an office in the election.

White Tornadoes elected include John Cimko, vice president; Janet Binder, recording secretary; Roseanne Mastro, corresponding secretary; and Paul Allidi, treasurer.
