Step Back in Time: Jan. 10, 2014


New York State Grange officers who were in attendance were Master Russell Curtis of Cazenovia; Secretary, Morris Holliday of Groton; Mrs. Kay Williams, Lecturer of Quebec, Canada; and Juvenile Deputy Mrs. Earl Loucks of Ravena.

Deputies from five counties and Past New York State Ceres, Mrs. Ester Titus of Nowich also attended the educational meeting.

A Model Grange session was set up by Otsego County Deputy Bice in which the following officers presided in their respective stations:

Master, Richard Bice; overseer, Donald Drake; lecturer, Georgianna Halbert; steward, Willard Armstorng; assistant steward, Landon Ames; chaplain, Susan Drake; treasurer, William Barton; secretary, Dennis Canham; gatekeeper, Hal Smith; lady assistant steward, Donna Ames.

Graces — Nina Reidel, Joann Armstrong, Mary VanWormer; executive committee, Linn Thayer, Charles Rathbun, Loren Lyon; pianist, Josephine Patof.

Following the opening ceremony, groups were formed for masters, lecturers, secretaries and juvenile committee.
