Serving the credit needs of farmers in Delaware, Otsego, Chenango, and Broome counties, the two credit associations have some $11,000,000 in loans to member users in the four-county area. There are offices in Norwich and Binghamton as well as Oneonta.
Mr. Hooks was assistant manger in Cooperstown for three years and for four and one-half years in the Oneonta office. For the past year he has been with the Farm Credit Banks of Springfield serving as appraiser-credit representative for the Federal Land Bank and the Federal Intermediate Credit Bank in Southern New England, Eastern New York and Hudson Valley region.
Mrs. Hooks is the former Waneta Belle Faulkner of Stamford. The Hooks have two daughters, Andrea, 12, and Deborah, 7. Mr. Hooks and his family plan to move to Oneonta in the near future.
