The transaction was completed in the county treasurer’s office here in the presence of County Attorney Robert A. Harlem and Thomas J. Cawley of Syracuse, vice president of Governmental Statistical Survey, who acted as consultant on the issuance of the bonds.
The $120,000 bond issue to be delivered in New York March 11 is for 10 years, with bonds maturing from Nov. 1, 1963 to Nov. 1, 1972.
The Board of Supervisors authorized the issuance Oct. 3, 1962, for the Highway Department building. It will be used for construction of a building on land already owned by the county on Linden Avenue in Cooperstown.
The building will provide garage and office facilities for the Highway Department.
