DELHI — The Delhi Telephone Company announces that work has commenced on its new equipment building to be constructed on property at the rear of 107 Main St. in Delhi.
Myron L. Jordan, architect of Richfield Springs, designed the building per the specifications of the telephone company, and the Stromberg-Carlson Co. of Rochester, is the manufacturer of the electronic switching equipment which will be installed to furnish dial service to area subscribers.
Holloway and Associates, Inc., of Delhi have the contract for the construction of the building. This contract includes not only the general construction but includes all grading, plumbing, heating, sewage system, electrical work, etc.
Horatio Adee, president of the Delhi Telephone Company, advises that the change over to the new service is scheduled for September of 1964.
