WORCESTER — Worcester Central School is having its third annual International Day today.
Worcester ninth graders will host more than 22 students from 15 countries, including Norway, Sweden, France, Mexico, and Brazil, among others.
“It’s an opportunity to meet people from all over the world,” said Dan Zuckergood, adviser to the ninth grade. The international students are on exchange and staying in the Worcester and Oneonta areas.
The visiting students will share their cultures with classes during the day. In the afternoon, the school will have an assembly with songs, a karate demonstration, and other activities, and in the evening, the school will have an international dance.

DELHI — Who said youths of today haven’t the stamina and intestinal fortitude their fathers and grandfathers used to have?
To prove that whoever said it is way out in left field, seven members of Delhi Explorer Scout Troop, Saturday, walked from Delhi to Margaretville and returned, a distance of 50 miles.
In the group were Robert Gilsinan, 15, Sam Johnson, 18, Paul Gunthert, 15, Paul Perry, 16, Keith Ashendon, 14, his brother Paul Ashendon, 15, and Robert Nauit, 15.
The boys left the Court House Square at 5:30 a.m. and returned to their starting point at 7:45 p.m., tired, hungry and footsore, with mission accomplished.
