Hubert Harwood, president of Oneonta Dairy Co., Inc., and Prospect Dairy, Inc., announced Monday the purchase of the capital stock of Meridale Jersey Farms, Inc. by Oneonta Dairy Co., Inc., from Ronald J. Bree, former president of Meridale Jersey Farms, Inc.
Mr. Harwood stated that the firm does not contemplate any change and the business will be continued at its present location at 73 River St. for the immediate future.
Woodrow Wilson of Oneonta, vice president of Oneonta Dairy Co., Inc., will be the executive in charge of the Oneonta-Sidney-Norwich operations.
Managing the Meridale plant will be Vincent Dirvin, South Side.
Mr. Harwood noted that Prospect now has dairies in 15 counties.
