Question of the week: Has all the rainfall affected your summer plans?
“Not really.
I haven’t made
any summer
plans yet. But
the weather will
probably affect
them in some
way.”
— Kristina
Scott, student,
Unadilla
“Of course it has. It’s also
hurting my golf
game. I wanted
to take my girls
camping this
summer, but
now that’s not
going to happen.
To them, it’s bad
enough they
can’t bring their
blow-dryers or
get cell-phone service, but if it
starts raining, forget it. I just
hope the whole summer isn’t
like this.”
— Thomas Forte, administrative,
Cohoes
``Sure. It
makes it hard to
do things with
the kids when
it’s raining out
everyday. We’d
rather be at the
pool or playing
outside together
than inside all
day. Hopefully, there will be a
little break from all this rain
before fall.”
— Teresa Scott, unemployed,
Unadilla
“Well, it’s not
the rain as much
as it’s working
and trying
to complete an
internship this
summer that
has been affecting
my summer
plans.”
— Paula Matt, bartender,
Cicero
“From what I have heard,
it’s going to be
like this all summer.
Sometimes,
it’s the perfect
excuse to play
Guitar Hero with
my roommates
all day and order
a pizza, but
I’d much rather
be hanging out at the lake or
working on a tan with my girlfriend.”
— Matt Everett, sales,
Burlington Flats
I think the
rain is boring. I
like to ride my
bike outside at
my grandma’s
house, but can’t
if it’s raining
outside all the
time.”
