Oneonta Police Department has electric car

New electric car that joined the Oneonta Police Department fleet





An electric car that joined the Oneonta Police Department fleet last month is now in service participating in traffic enforcement details. The car is charged by plugging into a standard, household electrical outlet and can reach a top speed of about 25 mph. The city purchased the car for less than $11,000 and electrical expenses related to charging are expected to be less than $600 a year.
