Christine Rudd and Sgt. Eric McCoy were married at the Yuma Crossing State Historic Park in an outdoor ceremony on March 8.
The bride's parents are Lourdes and Steve Rudd of San Ramon, Calif., and Marie and Ed Virden of Yuma, Ariz. The groom's parents are Pam and Jim McCoy of Worcester and Sue Symonds of Norwich.
The bride wore a white satin gown with a cathedral train and carried pink tulips. Her maid of honor was her sister, Jennifer Rudd. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, Ed Virden.
The groom wore his Marine Corps dress blues and was escorted down the aisle by seven Marine Corps sergeants wearing their dress blues. The groom's best man was his brother, John McCoy, and the Marine escorts were Sgt. Eric Berry, Sgt. Eliud Henry, Sgt. Kenny Lovelace, Sgt. Rob Marion, Sgt. William Meiss, Sgt. Victor Ramers and Sgt. Larry White.
After the ceremony, the bride was welcomed into the U.S. Marine Corps during the traditional sword ceremony performed by the Marine escorts.
A reception followed at the MCAS Sonoran Pueblo Officers' Lounge, where the bride and groom celebrated with 50 guests.
The couple honeymooned in the mountains in Arizona and live in Yuma.
