June 08, 2009 03:23 pm Mary and Daniel Knudsen of Conklin and David and Erika Prouty of Oneonta announce the engagement of their daughter, Daina Marie Prouty, to Joseph Steven Kocak, the son of Joanne and Richard Kocak of Brackney, Pa. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Susquehanna Valley High School. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Binghamton University, and her Master of Arts in Teaching degree in biology from the State University College at Cortland. She is a high school science teacher for Windsor Central School District. Her fiance is a graduate of Montrose High School. He earned an associate degree in liberal arts theater from Broome Community College and is director of operations at Tri-Cities Communications in Binghamton. A destination wedding is being planned for the summer of 2010.
