McCarthy - Corbett

Sharon Kay Stalker Corbett and James Stephen "Steve" McCarthy were united in marriage on June 6 at the First United Methodist Church in Oneonta. The Rev. Ned Eastman officiated the double-ring, 2 p.m. ceremony. Organist was John C. Jurgensen, and soloist was Catherine Littlehale.

The bride was escorted by her children, Timothy Corbett and Kimberly Corbett. Attending the bride was Susan Kane of Herkimer, cousin of the bride; Susan Orzech of Farmington, Conn.; and Carolyn Hoyt of Fort Payne, Ala.

The groom's attendants were Phil Kane of Herkimer; Marty McCarthy, brother of the groom, of Washington; and Kevin McCarthy, son of the groom, of Cazenovia.

The bride's grandchildren, Izabella and Zackary Corbett, were flower girl and ring bearer, respectively. The bride's and groom's children, Kendra McCarthy and husband Enis Ucer; Ryan McCarthy; Kevin McCarthy; Tim Corbett and wife Lisa; and Kimberly Corbett and spouse Chris Maloney, participated in the ceremony.

The bride and groom greeted 100 guests during a dinner reception at the Foothills Performing Arts Center in Oneonta.

The bride is the daughter of the late Forest and Hilda Stalker of Binghamton. She graduated from Binghamton North High School and is employed at the State University College at Oneonta.

The groom is the son of the late James and Lois McCarthy of Bellevue, Wash. He graduated from Seattle University and is retired from Lockheed Martin Corp. in Syracuse.

The couple are making their home in Oneonta.
