Sanford - Edwards

Jennifer Edwards and Thomas Sanford were united in marriage on May 24 during an outdoor ceremony at the Circle Drive Alliance Church in Sidney.

The parents of the couple are Eric and Lori Edwards of Cairo, Colleen Sanford of Binghamton and John and Carol Sanford of Afton. Grandmothers of the bride are Jeanette Callahan of Elmira and Rhoda Edwards of Endwell. The groom's grandparents are Don and Sandra Campbell of Endicott and Jean Sanford of Sidney Center.

The 3 p.m. ceremony was officiated by Pastor Bob Goldenberg. Jerry Hartman was pianist and the groom's brother, Philip Sanford, sang and played his guitar to a song he wrote for the couple.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white strapless gown of summer satin. Both her gown and fingertip veil were trimmed with a clover-green satin ribbon. She carried a bouquet of white Gerbera daisies tied with a clover-green ribbon.

The bride's sister, Jessica Edwards, was maid of honor. Mandie Jennings and Christina Bello were bridesmaids. Julianna Dickson, cousin of the groom, was the flower girl.

Philip Sanford served as best man for his brother. Ushers included Timothy Sanford, brother of the groom, and Michael Sanford, cousin of the groom. Corbin Decker, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Oneonta Holiday Inn.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of the State University College at Oneonta with a degree in childhood education. The groom is a 2007 graduate of SUCO with a degree in secondary education and math. Both are teachers in the Chenango Forks school district, she as a fifth-grade teacher and he as a high school algebra teacher.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Virginia Beach. They live in Binghamton.
