Maureen Elizabeth Barrow and Roger Harold Davidson Jr. were married May 23 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Walton, by Father Matthew Frisoni in a Nuptial Mass. Father Edward Ryan was in attendance.
The bride is the daughter of Marilyn and Donald Rimbach and granddaughter of Rita Monett, all of Farmington, all formerly of Walton.
The groom is the son of Gladys Davidson and the late Roger Davidson Sr. of Cooperstown.
The bride wore an A-line, corset-back gown with a lace overlay and cap sleeves. She carried a cascade of soft pink and ivory roses.
Her sister, Carol Maddalena of Farmington, was the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Anne Rimbach, sister of the bride; Emily Davidson, daughter of the groom; Marissa Olsen, fiance of the groom's son; and Brigid Maguire, friend of the bride. They carried pink bouquets of Asian lilies and wore tea-length indigo satin dresses. The flower girl was Emma Lynn Yakalis, 5, friend of the bride.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her stepfather, Donald Rimbach.
The groom's best man was his son, William Davidson of Burlington, Vt. Groomsmen were Frank Huber, Dan Coons, and Doug Newman, all friends of the groom, and Michael Barrow, son of the bride.
The ring bearer was Thomas Maguire, friend of the bride. The honorary usher was Ryan Barrow, son of the bride.
An afternoon reception followed at the Schoolhouse Inn in Downsville.
The bride graduated from Walton Central Schools, the College of St. Rose and Binghamton University, and holds a master's degree in education.
She is employed by the Richfield Springs Central School District.
The groom graduated from Cooperstown High School, the University of Rochester and the State University College at Oneonta, and also holds a master's degree in education.
He is a licensed jeweler for and co-owner of Davidson's Jewelry/Auger's Books in Cooperstown and is also employed by ONC BOCES in Milford.
The couple honeymooned on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico, and in Old San Juan, and live in Hartwick.
