Amanda Millward and Andrew Lander were united in married Aug. 30 at the Cornwallville Church at The Farmers' Museum in Cooperstown.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Meredith Ellis, the chaplain for Protestant ministry at Ithaca College.
The bride is the daughter of William and Mary Ann Millward of Hobart. The groom is the son of Stephen and Linda Lander of Fairfax Station, Va.
The bride wore a white full-length sleeveless gown with blue trim. The bodice was trimmed in beaded pearls and she wore a fingertip-length veil trimmed in pearls. She carried a bouquet of yellow and pink roses, white lilies, blue hydrangeas and pink carnations. She arrived at he church in a carriage pulled by a team of Clydesdale horses.
Maid of honor was Allison Millward, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amy Wilson, Kelly Keemer, Ashley Puvogel, Alexandra Ivascu and Kimmy Minnig.
Best men were Nathan Lander and Timothy Lander, brothers of the groom. Groomsmen were David Poldiak, John Puvogel, Greg Harris and Craig Millward, brother of the bride.
The soloist was Allison Millward, who sang "From This Moment On." Readings were given by Craig Millward and Amy Wilson.
A catered reception followed at the Louis C. Jones Center at The Farmers' Museum.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of South Kortright Central School and a 2004 graduate of Ithaca College, where she received a bachelor's degree in writing. She completed her high school teaching certificate requirements in English at Northern Virginia Community College and plans to pursue a master's degree in education. She is employed by the National Rifle Association of America in Fairfax, Va., and Huntington Learning Center in Fairfax, and is a volunteer instructor for the American Red Cross.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Robinson High School in Fairfax, and a 2004 graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, where he received a bachelor's degree in business and economics. He is employed by the National Rifle Association of America.
The couple plan to honeymoon at a later date and will live in northern Virginia.
