On Dec. 4, Michael Raymond Andryshak proposed to Laura Louise Underwood and she accepted.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of David and Karen Underwood, and the granddaughter of Daniel and the late Elizabeth Underwood of Roxbury, and Raymond Kearns of Andes and Barbara Kearns of Newcomb.
She is a 2007 Roxbury Central School graduate. In 2009, she received an Associate of Science degree from the State University College of Technology at Delhi, and in 2011 she graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts with a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-med biology.
Her fiance’s parents are Raymond and Elaine Andryshak of Kelly Corners. His grandparents were from New Jersey, the late Louise and Albert John Mokes Sr. and Raymond and Viola Andryshak.
He is a 2006 Roxbury Central School graduate. After high school, he enlisted the Marines, ultimately earning the rank of sergeant. In November 2011, he was honorably discharged from the Marines and became a field engineer for Intuitive Surgical. His duties include repairing and servicing surgical robots.
The couple plan a July 2014 wedding and will be living in the Plainsboro, N.J., area with their two pugs, Maya and Nacho.
