Arby's in Oneonta robbed Thursday night

State Police are investigating a Thursday night robbery at the Arby's fast food restaurant at 5526 State Route 7 in Oneonta, where a masked man was videotaped by surveillance cameras.
Police said today the robber appears to be the same man who robbed the nearby Convenience Express store, at 5374 State Route 7, Saturday night.
At 9:25 p.m. Thursday night, troopers said, the robber strode into the Arby's restaurant, handed a note to a cashier and said he had a gun, though no weapon was displayed, police said.
The man was described as wearing "a full face mask," work gloves and a dark hooded sweatshirt with Monster & Fox racing logos across the chest.  He is of medium build and his estimated height is 6 feet to 6-feet-2 inches tall, troopers said.
Police said the description of the clothing -- including the distinctive Monster & Fox sweatshirt -- as well as the man's physical description matches that of the Convenience Express robber.
After being handed cash by the cashier, the man left the Arby's from a door facing to the east and fled in an unknown direction. No vehicle was observed, police said.
Police did not disclose how much money was  taken. Oneonta Police, the Otsego County Sheriff's Department and the town of Oneonta constable assisted, troopers said.
Troopers urged anyone with information about the robberies to call State Police at Oneonta at 432-3211.
