Cortland 6, O-State 3

Emily Shannon and Katie Wlodarczyk improved to 6-1 at second doubles this season with an 8-5 win over Cortland's Meg Cole and Kristina Lazzaro, but host Oneonta State fell Thursday in the SUNY Athletic Conference.

Cortland won four of six singles matches and two of three in doubles play to end Oneonta's winning streak at four.

Carly Fried and Ashley Sears won at fifth and sixth singles, respectively, for O-State (6-2, 4-2), which hosts non-conference rival Elmira at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Cobleskill 3, Castleton 0

Sophomore setter Kristen Kukan finished with 13 assists, six aces and two digs for host SUNY Cobleskill in a 25-11, 25-16, 25-15 non-conference sweep that took 58 minutes to complete.

Natasha Mamrosh contributed nine kills, three aces and two blocks for the Fighting Tigers (4-5) against Castleton State (2-6). Adrianna Lyons (Cooperstown) and Danielle Skene had six kills apiece for Cobleskill, which will compete in a tri-match at Cazenovia on Saturday. The Fighting Tigers play Keuka at noon and the host school at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Izumi Takahashi had 29 assists and eight digs for visiting SUNY Delhi, which dropped a non-conference road match Wednesday, 25-20, 15-25, 25-23, 15-25, 1-15.

Delaware Academy graduate Renee Ladlee contributed 12 kills, six aces and two blocks for the Broncos (2-8, 0-2), who will compete at the Cara Bryant Memorial Tournament today and Saturday at Onondaga Community College.
