The annual Meet the Tigers youth baseball clinic will run from 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday at Damaschke Field, the City of Oneonta Recreation Department announced Friday.

Several Oneonta Tigers players and coaches will run the clinic, which is free and designed for youths ages 5-12. Participants should bring hats, mitts and sneakers or non-metallic cleats. Bats, balls and other equipment will be provided by the Recreation Department and the Tigers.

Hurley's Heroes Track Club of Oneonta will continue its Twilight Track and Field Meets at Oneonta State at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Aug. 11.

The meets are free and include the following events: All ages, 100 meters, 200, 400; Ages 14-and-older, 800, mile, 3,000, high jump (if facilities are available); Ages 14-and-younger, 50.

The seventh annual Davenport Fire Department 5-kilometer run is set for 10 a.m. Saturday.

Race-day registration will be held in front of Davenport Central from 8:30-9:45 a.m. Pre-registration costs $15 by Tuesday and $20 thereafter. Cost is $10 for students. Pre-registered runners are guaranteed a race T-shirt.

The New York Stallions adult football team will continue its home schedule in the Regional American Football League at 5 p.m. Saturday at Fortin Park in the Town of Oneonta.

The Stallions will host the New Jersey Buccaneers and follow with home games against the New Jersey Spartans on Aug. 1 and the New Jersey Wolves on Aug. 22.

Admission is free to all of the Stallions' home games this season. Spectators should bring chairs.

The State University of New York College Admissions Professionals will host a golf tournament at 9 a.m. July 30 at the Delhi College Golf Course.

The first Delhi Dolphins Splash 'N Dash Swim/Run Duathlon starts at 9 a.m. Aug. 2 at the SUNY Delhi College Pool. Registration runs from 8-8:45 a.m. on Aug. 2.

Athletes can participate in the following events:

The "10-and-10" is open to youths ages 12-and-younger and counts pool laps completed in 10 minutes then the number of laps run around a 200-meter course in 10 minutes. Youths can compete in one or both parts. Two-person teams are welcome.

The "Swim/Run Duathlon" is open to all ages and features a 400-yard swim followed by a 2-mile loop run on the campus. Two-person teams are welcome.

SUNY Delhi cross country coach Justin Wood will host the seventh annual SUNY Delhi "Broncos" Cross Country Clinic from Aug. 3-6.

The camp runs from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. each day and will include a variety of drills, pool workouts, distance runs and dynamic stretching that are designed for preparation for the high school cross country season.

Cost is $100 per person and includes a T-shirt and a water bottle. The Oneonta State men's soccer team will host a summer soccer camp at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta from Aug. 3-7.

The Dragon Camp is for youths ages 6-14 and runs 9 a.m.-4 p.m. daily. The Elite Camp is for high school players and runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily.

The Oneonta Family YMCA will hold a 1-mile, 2-mile and half-mile open-water swim at Gilbert Lake on Aug. 8.

Check-in runs from 7:30-8:30 a.m., with a mandatory pre-race meeting to follow. The 1- and 2-mile swims start at 9 a.m. The half-mile swim begins at 9:15 a.m.

The event is open to the public, but those younger than 13 must have competency verified in writing and signed by a non-parent coach or swim instructor.

Entry fee is $25 and includes lunch. A limited number of T-shirts are available for purchase at $15 each. Applications are available at the Oneonta Family YMCA. Entry deadline is 5 p.m. Aug. 6. Thereafter, registrations will be assessed a $10 late fee.

Oneonta State will host its second "Dining with Champions," a dinner in celebration of the community, at 6 p.m. Aug. 15 at its Alumni Field House.

Tickets cost $100 apiece. All proceeds will support student-athlete travel initiatives and facility enhancements. O-State has designated several community members as "champions" who will serve as table-hosts for the event.

The eligibility age and cost for lifetime senior sportsman licenses will increase Oct. 1. The age will move from 65 to 70 and the price will increase from $50 to $65.
