Unlike the teams' game Saturday, when Johnson City bolted to an eight-goal lead in the first quarter en route to a 17-0 victory, host Oneonta kept things close for a half.

Brothers Jon and Alex Meschutt scored first-half goals for the Yellowjackets, who trailed, 6-2, at halftime in the Section Four Lacrosse League game.

"We came out in a much different fashion today," OHS coach AJ Hecox said. "We had the ability to possess the ball. It was a much better game, but JC just did a much better job finishing. They did a nice job of putting the ball in the back of the net. We possessed the ball a fair share in the second half. We just couldn't find the net."

Brian Palmer had five goals and three assists to lead the Wildcats.
