ONEONTA _ A Bronx man was arrested at about 1:30 p.m. Friday after an investigation into possible drug activity at 47 Market St., Oneonta city police said.

Calvin V. Carroll, 44, was arrested for two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said. He was found with about 40 grams of heroin in 100 packets and 17.8 grams of crack cocaine in 26 baggies, along with $575 cash, police said. The recovered drugs have an approximate street value of $4,000, police said.

Carroll is awaiting arraignment, police said. Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance is a class B felony, punishable by up to nine years' imprisonment for each count, police said.
